Parish Life

Childcare during Mass
Our littlest parishioners are invited to socialize (with adult supervision) in O'Keefe C during the Sunday, 9:30 am Mass, unless listed otherwise in the bulletin. Childcare is staffed by adult and teen volunteers and is available on a drop-in basis. A registration form must be completed prior to drop-off. This Ministry is not available during certain holidays. Please watch the bulletin for information. If you'd like more information or wish to assist with this enjoyable ministry, contact Laura Claxton, 312-371-6221.
Dinner Dance
This annual parish fund-raising event benefits the school and religious education programs. Held in November, this gala event is open to all parishioners and friends. The Dinner Dance committee looks for donations of goods and services for their silent auctions, and assistance in all phases of planning, publicity and execution of this event. Contact Colleen Barrett, 630-601-1758.
Hospitality/Donut Sunday
The Hospitality Committee coordinates various social events for the parish community. Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Donut Sunday (first Sunday of specific months)
Parishioners and friends are invited for coffee, juice and fellowship in O'Keefe after the 9:30 am Mass.
  • Receptions following special events such as clergy anniversaries, etc.
Information Desk
Our Information Desk, located in the church lobby, is staffed by parish volunteers during all the weekend masses to help with any question.
Welcome Ministry
Our Welcome Ministry represents the Parish community in welcoming new parishioners. Every new parishioner family receives a phone call, welcoming them into our community and answering any questions about Notre Dame. New parishioners or anyone interested in joining our parish, are invited to attend one of our Hospitality/Donut Sunday receptions following the 9:30 Mass.
