Foundations in the Faith is religious education for children in Grades 1-6.
Foundations in the Faith is an age-appropriate presentation of our Catholic faith - drawn from scripture and tradition - a diversity of prayer and faith activities – in preparation for a life of discipleship. Catechetical sessions prepare children for a deeper relationship with Christ, and meaningful participation in the Church. Foundations in the Faith supports parents as the primary teachers of the faith for their children.
The GIFT program for grades 1-6 meets on Sunday mornings from 10:45 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. OR on Tuesday afternoons from 4:30 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. Registrations are taken on a ‘first come’ basis. If a session is full, the child will be placed in a session on the alternate day. Early registration is encouraged. A home-study program is available for children who are unable to join us on campus.
Notre Dame children use the Call to Faith religion series published by Our Sunday Visitor. Call to Faith is a developmental curriculum of faith formation. The mysteries of our faith are systematically presented in seven doctrinal themes of the Church:
The Kingdom of God
