During D.E.A.R. time on both Oct. 13 & 14 both student and teacher
critics gave a synopsis of 24 books worthy to be chosen as Mock
Newbery candidates. The American Library Association will announce
the 2010 Newbery Award winner for 2010 at an ALA meeting in
January.  Likewise, the students in grades 6,7, & 8 will vote for
the book that they think best fits the Newbery criteria.
We always enjoy comparing notes with the ALA.
