Sacramental Preparation

First Reconciliation

First Communion - Grades 1 & 2 (& 3)

Here at Notre Dame, our children's preparation for First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion begins in First Grade and the Sacraments are received in Second Grade and the program is completed in Third Grade as we unpack the Mass in depth. Students must be enrolled for all three years to be properly prepared to receive these sacraments.

For students that have not received these Sacraments we have programs in place to assist our students who come to the program mid-stream and for older children who missed these sacraments in Second Grade. If you have questions please contact the Religious Education Department, we would love to see you!

Notre Dame Parish thrives as “one body, one spirit in Christ”, and we celebrate receiving these sacraments as a parish family. And it is in this same spirit that all of our children; in both the parochial school and the public schools; come together for these sacramental celebrations.

Traditionally the Sacrament of First Reconciliation is received in January and the Sacrament of First Communion is received on the first Saturday in May.
